The Al-Sadd first team players continued with their individual training exercises from home, implementing training programmes developed by the coaching staff led by head coach Xavi Hernandez and fitness coach Ivan Torres.

The team is aiming to maintain their physical fitness, in anticipation of the resumption of football once again.

A number of players are also training at the club’s training centre, while adhering to the precautionary measures put in place to avoid the coronavirus (Covid-19).

Xavi has keenly followed the team’s progress, checking the fitness and work rate of the players weekly via GPS devices.

Meanwhile, Hassan Al-Haydos and Tarek Salman resumed their training remotely after recovering from their injuries. Al-Haydos had suffered a knee fracture during the game against Sepahan in the AFC Champions League, while Tarek Salman was injured in the QNB Stars League game against Al Rayyan. Subsequently, a specialized training program was developed for the duo which suited their condition after their recovery.

The Al-Sadd players also continue to participate in the awareness campaigns which aim to provide advice and guidance to Al Sadd fans and Qatari football fans in general, requesting them to safeguard themselves by staying in their homes as long as the coronavirus risk remains.
