Al Khor coach Omar Najhi spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Ahli.

“Our technical staff focused on analysing the Al Ahli team ahead of this match. They are a side with many positives. They are very organized, but the focus was on their weaknesses and strengths as we sought to face them the best way.

“There is no doubt that we were not good in the last game against Umm Salal that we lost. I am not satisfied with the performance, the players were not in good form, which is something that happens in football. Still, we had four opportunities to score, but we did not convert any of them. With a little more focus, we could have got at least a draw.

“We made only one change in our team by adding a foreign professional player in the current winter transfer, with Lucca Borges replacing Wagner Ferreira, because we had reviewed the statistics of all players and found them good. So it was better to keep stability because we did not want to change for the sake of changing.

“Our players will never give up and we will move away from the danger zone in the remaining rounds of the league,” said Najhi.
