Qatar SC coach Younis Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Khor.

“We will undoubtedly face difficult opponents who have the capabilities and a distinct style, and their position in the table (seventh) does not reflect their true level. They have players and technical staff of good levels.

“It is difficult to predict what will happen in the match, especially since the opponents presented very good levels. As far as we are concerned, we tried to utilise the break in a positive way, as we worked more on the physical levels and also focused on reserve players.

“Our squad is complete with the exception of Elmehdi Barrahma and his replacement is ready for this match. In general, I feel completely satisfied at the level of players, as I am currently facing difficulty in choosing the squad that will play the match due to the enthusiasm and desire for challenge and the great effort of all players in the team.

“These positive indicators are the rewards for instilling the spirit of challenge and desire to win, be it friendly or official match, because football without desire and enthusiasm means nothing,” said Younis.

Qatar SC player Mohammed Salem said, “We are aware of the difficulty and importance of this game, but our team is on a high. We went through our two previous matches in a positive state of harmony that calls for optimism. The technical staff make great efforts with all players and we work with team spirit In order to be in the place we deserve.

“It is certain that victory leads to better results and therefore any positive outcome enhances our winning mentality and gives us a double incentive to present the best, overcome the mistakes that occurred in previous matches and enhance the team’s individual and collective capabilities in the best possible way.”
