Al Shahania coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 4 match against Al Sadd.

“First of all, I congratulate Al Sadd and Al Duhail for winning their first-leg quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League against Iran’s Esteghlal and Persepolis respectively. We wish both teams best of luck ahead of the second leg. Their progress shows the progress made by Qatar in club football.

“We have a big game against Al Sadd. We will try to field a competent team. And we can win this game. Why not?

“All our players are confident epecially after our drawn match with Al Khor. We are ready to face Al Sadd, who are a big club. We will try to grab the opportunities that come our way. I have full confidence in my players.

“The QNB Stars League field is tough. Two teams are in the first group (Al Sadd and Al Duhail). Three or four teams are then fighting in another group to be in the top four.
“Our target is to stay in the top flight. Four points from three matches is a good motivation for our players. We want to get as many points as possible. That’s why we are even seeking points against Al Sadd,” said Murcia.
