Al Duhail coach Sabri Lamouchi spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Khor.

“We will face a team which has regained self-confidence after achieving their first victory this season and I think the match will be important and difficult at the same time. In every match, Al Duhail create dangerous opportunities to score, but we have failed to reach the net. But we succeeded in the last match against Al Arabi in taking advantage of the opportunities that we had. My team always focuses on offensive performance in our matches and we will work to take advantage of the opportunities we get so that we put the burden on our rivals.

“There are no absences from our side as of today. We do not want any unpleasant surprises before the match, of course, as we want to have an ideal squad that will get us the win. The team has conceded many goals against goals scored in previous matches, which is embarrassing to me and unacceptable. We will work to fix it. I am still looking for the ideal formation that will make us victorious and involve the players who are physically and technically ready for the match,” said Lamouchi.

Al Duhail player Bassam Al Rawi said, “The team can win against Al Khor. We are ready to perform strongly and collect the three points we badly need. Al Duhail went through a difficult period due to injuries and other changes but now the players have adapted to the new coaching staff. We will return to victories again and improve our position in the points table.

“I was absent from our first XI for a long time, but appeared in the previous match for a few minutes. God willing, in the next match, I will participate for a longer period and be ready to appear in all the coming matches for Al Duhail.”
