We expect a difficult match-up with Umm Salal: Al Gharafa coach Jokanovic

Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Umm Salal.

“We have been assured of the fourth place regardless of our results in the upcoming matches, but for us the competition is not over our team can appear at a better level. Therefore, we must be ready to push more. As I said before, our goal is to collect maximum points and Umm Salal match will not be different.

“Umm Salal are a tough team having some fast players, especially in attack, so we expect a difficult match-up. The next two matches are good opportunities for us to prepare for the new season as well,” said Jokanovic.

Al Gharafa player Koo Ja-Cheol said, “We will continue to work well as a group on the pitch and our goal is to collect the three points that are important. I am looking forward towards offering my best to the team.

“During my long stint in Germany, my approach was more offensive as a midfielder. I always focused on scoring goals. But in Qatar, I am playing defensively as per the requirements of the team. I try to do my best in every game we play, which is the most important thing for me.”
