Al Shahania coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Arabi.

“We have prepared well for this match. We took a lot of positives from the last game. We respect Al Arabi and we consider them as a good team, which longs to be in the top four. We will try hard to put up a strong show.

“In our first-leg game, which we lost by a 1-2 margin, we conceded a goal in the first minute and again in the last minute. I remember that match well. Al Arabi are good at dealing with high balls. They depend on long balls and are good at contest in the midfield. We know all this and we will work to keep the ball more and play with close lines.

“We will not rely on defence alone because it will not help us and we will strive to achieve victory.

“We have played many games with depleted squad. As a team, even one player’s absence will adversely affect us. I wish we enter this match with all players and that will give us options. Our goal is to get the three points and if we get them, it will help us a lot,” said Murcia.
