Kuala Lumpur: Asian football’s passionate fans can now get even closer to the action as the-AFC.com launches its latest live score feature, which will serve as a one-stop hub of the latest results in the leagues across all 47 of the AFC Member Associations.

In addition to the live score feature, the-AFC.com will give fans the opportunity to follow the latest table standings, fixtures and scorers while there will be a further expansions including video highlights, interviews, and close integration with the AFC’s digital streaming platform for MAs - mycujoo - in the next phase.

AFC General Secretary, Dato’ Windsor John said: “Asia is home to the largest football ‘stadium’ on the planet. We are a diverse Continent with some of the world’s most passionate fans and, with more than 10 zones, football literally never sleeps in Asia.

“The AFC’s Digital properties, including the-AFC.com, have undergone significant enhancement in the past two years. We are increasing our fan focus and this new feature further underlines our desire to grow the game.

“It will also pave the way to bring greater attention to our leagues, clubs and Member Associations, particularly where results are not readily available or accessible as well as stimulate more promotional opportunities between the AFC and its MAs.


“The AFC has made clear our ambitions to confirm football as the number one sport in the Continent and we will continue to grow our digital platforms and strengthen our partnerships with our Member Associations to provide even greater experiences for fans.”

Since its revamp in end 2017, the enhancements and new features of the-AFC.com have resulted in commendable growth, with 34.3 million-page views registered in 2018, an increase of almost 100 percent from the previous corresponding year.

In January 2019, the AFC outstripped last year’s website numbers while 890.2m fans engaged with the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 through the digital and social platforms.

The latest live score feature has been designed to replicate the theme of the upgraded website and presents users with the choice of following their preferred leagues by selecting the ‘favourite’ option.
