Tarek Salman: We got an important win over Sepahan

Al-Sadd defender Tarek Salman described getting three points against Iran’s Sepahan in the AFC Champions League, as extremely important for the team’s continental campaign.

Speaking after the match, Tarek said: “We knew that the match would be difficult. We studied the opponent team very well, and we knew that they would rely on counter-attacks. We were able to deal with the match in the best way and we achieved our goal by coming out with three points, which is the most important thing for us.”

He added: “Our group is very difficult and requires complete focus in every match. We have succeeded in winning this game at home and in front of our fans, and we must now continue to look for positive results in the next rounds in order to keep our fortunes alive in the group.”
