Al Ahli and Al Shahania played out a goalless draw in Week 19 of the QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Thursday.

Al Ahli moved to 30 points and Al Shahania 21.

Al Ahli’s Ali Qaderi was booked with a yellow in the 23rd minute. His team-mate Jhon Carlos was given the marching orders the next minute.

A minute later, Al Shahania defender Ramin Rezaeian fired a shot at the Al Ahli goal, but keeper Ivanildo Santos blocked the move with a quick save.

In the 35th minute, Rezaeian was also booked with a yellow card.

There were more bookings in the second half when Al Shahania’s Sultan Al Kuwari (59th), Alvaro Perez (75) and Abdullah Khaled (82nd) were shown yellow cards.

In an enterprising move in the 70th minute, Al Kuwari got close to scoring, but his shot from close range was blocked by Rodrigues. A similar attack from Kesse Amangoua of Al Shahania was blocked by the goalkeeper in the 62nd.

Al Ahli’s Jassem Mohamed fired at the Al Shahania goal, but his shot was blocked by goalkeeper Saoud Al Hajri.

Omid Ebrahimi of Al Ahli joined the list of those who were shown yellow cards in the 55th minute.
