Al Shahania take on Al Khor in Week 14 of the QNB Stars League on Sunday, 2nd December, with the confidence they gained from their 1-0 victory over Al Kharaitiyat in the last round. The kick-off is at 18:30 at the Al Arabi Stadium.

Al Shahania have 15 points (four wins, three draws and six defeats). Their goal difference is -11 (12 goals for and 23 against).

Al Khor have eight points (two victories, as many draws and nine defeats). They have a goal difference of -15 (nine goals for and 24 against).

Al Khor, meanwhile, lost 1-2 to Al Sadd in a rescheduled match from Week 5 of the QNB Stars League.

The match had to be postponed because of Al Sadd’s AFC Champions League engagement.

Al Khor had lost 0-1 to Al Duhail in the last round.

Promoted team Al Shahania have been punching way above their weight in the top flight with a spate of good results.

On the other hand, Al Khor are in the danger zone with only Al Kharaitiyat below them in the standings.

Al Shahania depend mainly on Luciano Vazquez, Alvaro Perez, Yousef Hani, Kesse Amangoua and goalkeeper Khalifa Al Dossari, while Wagner Ferreira, Diogo Farias, Rebin Solaka, Naif Al Buraiki and Ahmed Yasin lead Al Khor’s charge.

Al Shahania and Al Khor had played out a 1-1 draw in the QNB Stars League’s first phase.
