Both Umm Salal vs Al Rayyan will be desperate to register victory when they play against each other in Week 13 of the QNB Stars League on Friday, 23rd November. The kick-off is at 18:30 at the Al Gharafa Stadium.

Al Rayyan had slipped from second to fourth position following their 1-1 draw with Al Ahli in the previous round. The Lions have 22 points from six wins and two draws to their credit. They lost two games and have a goal difference of +2 (13 goals for and 11 against).

Al Rayyan have the same number of points as Al Sailiya, but the latter were placed third in the table on better goal difference.

Umm Salal are seventh with 15 points (four wins, three draws and five defeats) and have a goal difference of -7. The Orange Fortress conceded 23 goals in the process of scoring 16.

Al Rayyan suffered a setback as they will be without striker Sebastian Soria, who is out injured for two to three weeks.

And Abdulrahman Al Korbi, who suffered a tear during their 3-1 win over Al Shahania in Round 3 of the QSL Cup, is likely to be out of action at least for two weeks.

At the same time, Al Rayyan regained the services of striker Jonathan Menendez after a long injury layoff.

Meanwhile, Umm Salal are having a bad run, collecting only two points from their last five matches. The decline in performance saw the team part ways with Dutch coach Laurent Banide.

Umm Salal drew 1-1 with Al Duhail in Round 3 of the QSL Cup last week.
