QNB Stars League Week 13 – Umm Salal vs Al Khor

Umm Salal face Al Khor in Week 13 of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:30 at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Saturday, 25th January, 2020.

The game is crucial for Umm Salal as they are at the bottom of the table with only five points.

Even a change at the helm, Moroccan Aziz Ben Askar replacing Spaniard Raul Caneda, could not help Umm Salal make a turnaround in their fortunes. The Orange Fortress have only one win to their credit. While they drew two matches, they lost nine times this season. They have scored only seven goals, but conceded 27 to have a goal difference of -20.

Umm Salal had lost 0-4 to Al Rayyan in Week 12 before the QNB Stars League took a break.

Al Khor have nine points (two victories, three draws and seven defeats), but are in danger zone along with Al Shahania and Umm Salal. The Knights have a goal difference of -8 (14 goals for and 22 against).

Al Khor defeated Al Sailiya 2-1 in Week 12. However, they went down 1-2 to reigning champions Al Sadd last Tuesday in a QNB Stars League match deferred from Week 7 due to The Wolves’ AFC Champions League commitment.

Al Khor had beaten Umm Salal 1-0 in the first leg.
