18:30 kick-off at Al Ahli Stadium

 

Al Ahli face Qatar SC in Week 10 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:30 at the Al Ahli Stadium on Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020.

It is a foregone conclusion that the match between second-placed Al Ahli and fourth-placed Qatar SC will be fought fiercely, as both teams are in good form.

Al Ahli have 19 points, six adrift of leaders Al Sadd. The Brigadiers have six wins, one draw and two defeats with a goal difference of 0 (13 goals for and as many against).

Al Ahli were in the lead position early in the tournament. Al Sadd then took over and they had to be in the second spot, which they conceded to Al Gharafa after losing to them by a 0-4 margin in Week 8.

However, Nebojsa Jovovic-coached Al Ahli reclaimed the second position with a 2-0 win over Al Kharaitiyat in Week 9.

Qatar SC, under former Qatar international Younis Ali, are coming off four victories in a row (they had defeated Al Wakrah 1-0 in Week 6, Al Arabi 3-0 in Week 7, Al Khor 3-0 in Week 8 and Al Sailiya 3-1 in Week 9).

The Kings have recorded five wins and four defeats so far. Their goal difference is +5 (13 goals for and eight against).

Al Ahli have a good group of players comprising goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodriguez, Shane Lowry, Omid Ebrahimi, Nabil El Zhar, Hernan Perez, Ibrahim Majed and Mohamed Diame, while Qatar SC boast of the likes of goalkeeper Jassim Al Hail, Youcef Belaili, Anthony Okpotu, Ali Karimi, Nasir Baksh, Mohammad Salem and Elmehdi Barrahma.
