Al Sadd’s Jesualdo Ferreira has been adjudged the QNB Stars League’s best coach for the month of February, 2019.

Under the Portuguese, Al Sadd played three matches in the 2018-19 season QNB Stars League’s Weeks 16, 17 and 18, and won all of them, collecting all nine points on offer.

The Wolves’ victories were against Al Khor (6-2), Al Rayyan (4-0) and Qatar SC (8-1) in that order.

The three wins helped Al Sadd stay on top of the QNB Stars League standings. After 18 rounds, they now have 47 points to their credit.

Ferreira’s men scored 18 goals while conceding just three, with 26 shots on target and 12 against it.

According to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, Al Sadd made an average number of 618 passes, of which 550 were successful. Short passes numbered 386 and forward passes 163.

There were 15.0 crosses (6.7 from the left and 8.3 from the right). They also made 20 tackles and 13 dribbles.

Al Sadd made 57 final-third entries and 36 penalty-area entries. Shots for reached 19 and shots against 10. The average number of shots on target was nine.

Ferreira had won the award twice before this season (August and November/December combined).
