Akram Afif of Al Sadd has been adjudged the 2019-20 QNB Stars League’s best player for the months of December and January.

The forward played six matches, including the deferred games against Al Arabi and Al Khor, with a total of 571.0 minutes on the pitch.

In the process, he scored nine goals and played a crucial role in Al Sadd’s impressive run during the period. The Wolves registered five victories and suffered one defeat to collect 15 points.

Akram had four assists to his credit as well.

The technical analysis of Akram released by STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the Qatar Stars League, showed he made an average of 52.0 passes, of which 40.3 were successful. He scored all his goals from inside the box.

Akram, who was adjudged Asia’s best player for 2019, was also an important part of the triumphant Qatar national team at the Asian Cup early last year.
