Al Kharaitiyat’s fitness coach Ahmed Badarudeen spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Umm Salal.
“We are desperately seeking to improve our position. Our goal is to stay away from the last position, so we will have a chance to play the play-off game.
“The match against Umm Salal is another opportunity for us in our bid to achieve our target. There are still six matches left in the league.
“In our last game against Al Ahli, luck was not on our side. We still have hope. We suffered a series of negative results in the league and that put us under great pressure in many matches. However, we played in the QSL Cup without pressure.
“We have a match-up with Al Khor in Week 20. I think there is a difference of six points between the two teams. We are optimistic that we can move away from the last place,” said Badarudeen.
