Our goal is to beat Al Ahli, says Al Duhail coach Rui Faria

Doha, Qatar: Al Duhail SC would be keen to continue their winning run in the Qatar Stars League when they take on Al Ahli in the 11th round on Monday.

League leaders Duhail, unbeaten this season, have won their last seven matches and coach Rui Faria was confident of extending the run.

“The match against Al Ahli will be difficult, like all games that we played so far in the league. But I trust in our ability to get a positive result. Our goal is to beat Al Ahli.

“After the break, we hope to make a strong return to the competition. We know that the mission is difficult and there is no easy match in the league. I hope we will return to the same level that we were before the break.

“Our target is to achieve full points and this is what we want in all our matches.

“For sure, the continuity of league, without break, is better. But that is not an excuse. We tried to utilise the break perfectly,” said Faria.

In the other matches on Monday, Al Sadd take on Al Gharafa while Al Shahania play Al Khor.
