Qatar SC’s Syrian striker Osama Omari underwent a surgery for cruciate ligament knee injury at the orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar.

Osama sustained the injury during the first half of his country’s match against Palestine, at the ongoing Asian Cup in the UAE, and had to leave the field.

He will undergo a rehabilitation programme and will be out of action for quite some time.

Osama is one of the outstanding players of Qatar SC and in the QNB Stars League. He joined The Kings in the winter transfer period of last season and his contract was renewed ahead of this season.
