17:15 kick-off at Al Arabi Stadium

Al Wakrah face Al Kharaitiyat in the quarterfinal of 2020-21 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Arabi Stadium on Sunday. The kick-off is at 17:15.

Al Wakrah reached the quarterfinal by topping Group A with 11 points (three victories and two defeats). The Blue Wave had a goal difference of +8 (13 goals for and five against).

En route to the last eight, Al Wakrah, the only side with an unbeaten record in the group, beat Al Khor 2-1, Al Duhail 3-1 and Al Sadd 5-0, while they drew 1-1 with Qatar SC and 2-2 with Al Sailiya.

Al Kharaitiyat made the cut as the fourth team from Group B with six points. The Thunders won two matches and lost three. They had a goal difference of +1 (nine goals for and eight against).

Al Kharaitiyat defeated Al Rayyan 4-1 and Al Ahli 2-0, while they lost 1-3 to Al Gharafa, 1-2 to Umm Salal and 1-2 to Al Arabi.

Al Kharaitiyat, the promoted side in this season's QNB Stars League, are expected to give Al Wakrah a tough fight.
