Ooredoo Cup Quarterfinal – Al Khor vs Al Rayyan

Al Khor face Al Rayyan in the quarterfinal of 2020-21 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Arabi Stadium on Monday. The kick-off is at 19:30.

Al Khor reached the knockout quarterfinal as the runners-up from Group A with nine points. The Knights had three victories and two defeats. Their goal difference was +10 (14 goals for and four against).

Al Khor beat Al Sailiya 5-1, Qatar SC 2-0 and Al Duhail 6-0, while they lost 1-2 to Al Wakrah and 0-1 to reigning champions Al Sadd.

Al Rayyan progressed to the quarterfinal as the third team from Group B with seven points (two victories, as many defeats and one draw). The Lions had a goal difference of -1 (six goals for and seven against).

Al Rayyan defeated Al Ahli and Umm Salal by an identical 2-0 margin. They lost 1-4 to Al Kharaitiyat and 0-2 to Al Gharafa, and played out a 1-1 draw with Al Arabi.

Both sides may continue to field full-strength squad as they seek a semifinal berth.
