Al Kharaitiyat’s new coach Aziz Al Amri from Morocco spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 4 match against Al Rayyan.

“We’ve suffered three consecutive defeats and our problem is psychological. One victory can change the situation. As of now, I’m new (he replaced Nassif Al Bayawi) and my focus is on arresting the losing streak.

“I’ve never coached outside Morocco. I’m learning more about the QNB Stars League. I had only watched some games of Al Rayyan last season when Abderrazaq Hamdallah (Moroccan striker) played for them. We’ll try to improve our performance and start getting good results.

“Overall, the team looks stronger than last season. I still have time to work on the team this season. I have been focusing on the side’s tactical combinations since last Friday. We also worked on the defensive organization.

“When we get the ball, we must work more on how to progress in attack. A coach needs 70 training sessions to fully implement his strategies with his players.

“At the moment, I can’t say whether we will stay in the QNB Stars League or not. We’ll try hard to stay in the top flight. I’m not for changing professional players once the league has started,” said Al Amri.
