Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Umm Salal.

“All matches in the league are important, but I feel the problem is with us and not with the opponents. We always respect the rivals. Facing Umm Salal tells us we are set for a very strong match, especially as Umm Salal are trying to improve their position in the table. In addition to that, Umm Salal have succeeded in hiring good professional players.

“The real problem lies with our side and that is why I always focus on my team more than shifting my focus on the opponents. My real problem is that Al Sailiya players feel danger only after concede goals and we do not initiate scoring, which puts us under pressure and we lose our focus.

“All teams are all close to each other in terms of playing level. That is why the matches are difficult and in my opinion the only one team that is ahead of others is Al Sadd,” said Trabelsi.

Al Sailiya player Sayed Hassan Issa said, “The match against Umm Salal is difficult, especially after our last loss to Qatar SC. We must remember that the team in the last match suffered some absences, but now everybody is available for selection for the match against Umm Salal, especially after the recovery of Ahmed Hammoudan.

“The team is currently focused on this match and we see it as a very important clash, especially as we play to win and get the three points we need. We have to forget the past where we lost against Qatar SC and look at what is coming. We have the desire to win this week.”
