The Al-Sadd football first team intensified their preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League semifinal second leg clash against Persepolis, during Thursday’s training session at the club’s training facility.

The match is set to be played in Tehran on Tuesday, October 23. Persepolis have the aggregate lead in the tie, after winning 1-0 in the first leg in Doha.

During Thursday’s training session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira focused on certain tactical plans, in addition to working on quick one-touch play.

The session was held in the presence of a full-strength team, after the return of all the international players. Hassan Al-Haydos, Tareq Salman and Salem Al-Hajri returned to the team after Qatar’s friendly with Uzbekistan in Tashkent. Also back in the team were Baghdad Bounedjah and Jung Woo-young, who had been on international duty with Algeria and South Korea respectively.

The Wolves are now scheduled to continue training in Doha until Sunday, when they are set to travel to Tehran.
