Umm Salal coach Aziz Ben Askar spoke to the media ahead of their 2019-20 QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Gharafa.

“In the last few matches, we performed well, but had to be content with draws. We wish to get a positive result and I expect the players to give off their best with the aim of collecting full points.

“I told my players that the result that we produced against Al Ahli (1-1) was good, but we must know that Umm Salal are going through a crucial stage since the beginning of the season. We must not forget that we must win the last two matches.

“We are facing strong opponents in the last two games and we will not win unless we play by showing utmost respect for the rivals, because everyone works and everyone wants to win. We have to fight until the last minute of the game and be patient,” said Ben Askar.

Umm Salal player Fahd Khalfan said, “Every match has its own difficulties and the coach has prepared us for the Al Gharafa game. We hope we will succeed in implementing his plan on the field. We promise our fans that the team will not get relegated to the second division.”
