Al-Sadd SC president His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani attended the first team’s training session on Monday, ahead of the upcoming clash against Sepahan in the AFC Champions League 2020.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed’s presence at the session came as part of his support to the coaching staff and the players, ahead of the big game, which will be played on Tuesday evening at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

The club president was accompanied by Turki Al-Ali, the general manager of the club, and Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali, head of football, in addition to other management officials.

Monday’s session saw the team train in high spirits, in the presence of the club president, who was keen to be on the sidelines of the pitch to observe the entire session and to get updates on the players’ readiness.

The coaching staff, led by head coach Xavi Hernandez, worked on preparing the players for the game, focusing on both technical and physical aspects.

At the end of the session, the players were divided into two groups for a practice mini-game, that proved to be a competitive and spirited affair.

Later, Xavi announced the 18-member matchday squad for the game, which is as follows: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Bersham, Khoukhi Boualem, Yasir Abubakar, Hassan Al-Haydos, Faisal Abdullah, Akram Afif, Mohamed Waad, Pedro Miguel, Tarek Salman, Baghdad Bounedjah, Hamed Ismail, Talal Behzad, Gabi, Jung Woo-young, Hashem Ali, Nam Tae-hee, Hussam Kamal

The Wolves then left for an overnight camp at Al-Messila Hotel, from where they will travel to the stadium tomorrow for the game.
