Facing Al Gharafa a big challenge: Umm Salal coach Caneda

Umm Salal coach Raul Caneda spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Gharafa.

“My first match with Umm Salal is a big challenge. We should always think about winning. Umm Salal is a great club, but they have some difficulties and we’re looking for solutions.

“I’ve seen recordings of Al Gharafa. They’re a good team, but they’ve some weaknesses and we should try to take advantage of them.

“We’re still developing the side and we’ll see at the end of the season how many points we’ll collect.

“I’ve worked in Saudi Arabia and I’ve come to Qatar more than once for the AFC Champions League. Qatar is a wonderful country with great sports facilities. I would like to be here even though it’s too early to say.

“I’m a football coach. Spanish football is professional. Umm Salal have good players and we’ll try to build the team with character,” said Caneda.
