The team lost this evening its chance to qualify for the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League , when it lost against Persepolis team by 3-1 in the match that gathered both teams this evening in the quarter-finals (away match) on Azadi stadium in Tehran .

In the 33rd minute the player Karim Boudiaf scored Al Duhail goal , and the first half ended by this result .

In the second half , Persepolis player Sayed Galal scored the equalizer goal , and then in the 76th the Iranian team succeded in scoring the second goal by the player Sultan Al Brake who scored it by mistake .

In the 78th minute Persepolis team scored the third goal .
