Chelsea's Ethan Ampadu has signed a new five-year contract, the club have confirmed.

Ampadu, 18, has made seven first-team appearances and has four caps for Wales, including in their two UEFA Nations League matches.

"I'm really proud and happy," Ampadu said. "I'm looking forward to the next five years and all I have got to do now is continue to work hard, and hopefully good things will happen."
