QNB Stars League team Al Sailiya’s Football Director Walid Al Mannai said their players were staying fully committed towards the implementation of distance training programme developed for them by technical staff and fitness coaches in co-ordination with the Qatar Stars League (QSL).

He insisted that such exercises focused significantly on the physical aspects in order to help players maintain their fitness during the current stoppage of tournaments forced by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID 19).

Al Mannai said, “There’s precise follow-up to the performance of each player separately and there are devices that have been distributed to the players to follow them remotely according to the instructions of QSL, and that training was done regularly and according to a specific schedule.”

He pointed out that Al Sailiya were suffering from the absence of Iranian professional player Karim Ansari to an injury and that he was now on the path of recovery.

The Al Sailiya official stressed that it was important for everyone to jointly deal with the current situation by co-operating fully with the Qatar Football Association and QSL for the safety and health of everyone, especially since the Football Family is very much part of the society in which we live, and we must do our part towards the society.
