Al Khor face reigning champions Al Sadd in a 2019-20 QNB Stars League match deferred from Week 7 at the Al Khor Stadium on Tuesday, 21st January. The kick-off is at 19:00.

The game was deferred due to Al Sadd 2019 AFC Champions League commitment.

The match comes in the aftermath of 2020 Qatar Cup, which Al Sadd won by defeating Al Duhail 4-1 in the final last Friday.

The match assumes significance for both Al Khor and Al Sadd as they will be keen on collecting three valuable points.

Al Khor are in the 10th position with nine points and are not too far from the danger zone. They are one point ahead of 11th-placed Al Shahania and four ahead of bottom-placed Umm Salal.

Al Khor have only two victories to their credit, so they will expect to pull off a win in front of home fans. The Knights have three draws and six defeats against their name. Their goal difference is -7 (13 goals for and 20 against).

On the other hand, Al Sadd will not want any more slip-up in their bid to retain the coveted league shield. They are currently third in the standings with 21 points, nine less than leaders Al Duhail and seven less than Al Rayyan.

The Wolves have seven victories to their credit even as they lost four matches. Their goal difference is +13 (33 goals for and 20 against).

Al Sadd have been in good form of late and Xavi Hernandez’s wards will be eyeing nothing less than a win.
