Qatar’s Al Duhail will face the UAE’s Sharjah in Group C on Tuesday, 15th September, as the 2020 AFC Champions League resumes with all West Zone matches on the continent being scheduled in Doha from 14th September to 3rd October. The kick-off is at 18:00.

Al Duhail are second in the group with three points, behind Saudi Arabia’s Al Taawoun (six points). Iran’s Persepolis and Sharjah are third and fourth respectively with one point each.

All Group C matches are being played at the Education City Stadium. Khalifa International Stadium (Group A), Al Janoub Stadium (Group B) and Al Sadd Stadium (Group D) are the other venues.

Al Duhail had started their campaign with a 0-2 loss to Persepolis in Doha on 11th February, but defeated Al Taawoun 2-0 in Jeddah on 18th February before the tournament was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Al Duhail, under the technical supervision of Moroccan Walid Regragui, had begun preparations for the Sharjah clash on 10th September after their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Wakrah, which they lost 0-1.

The team had a camp at the Al Azizia Boutique Hotel as part of preparations for the AFC Champions League matches.
