Al Kharaitiyat’s fitness coach Ahmed Badarudeen spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Duhail.

“We had hoped to achieve a good result against Al Khor in the last round, but were not successful. But we still have our chances to stay in the First Division if we have luck on our side.

“Since the beginning of the season, we are in the last place. Our results improved with the arrival of Wesam Rizik as coach, but unfortunately we have been found wanting in terms of points. And we suffered from injuries to players.

“We know Al Duhail will play for a win to be in with a chance to retain the title. We will also play to win for our survival. The game will be fought on the pitch and between the two teams.

“We will do everything we can to score victory. Football is a team game. We have the players and we will fight to achieve a positive result.

“We do not deserve to go down to Second Division, especially since we had good games in the second leg and we achieved some excellent results,” said Badarudeen.
