The QNB Stars League’s Week 6 matches will be played on 3rd October, 4th October and 5th October, with two games on each day.

The fixtures are Al Duhail vs Al Sailiya (17:40, Al Duhail Stadium) and Al Wakrah vs Al Gharafa (19:50, Al Wakrah Sadium) on Thursday, 3rd October, Al Shahania vs Umm Salal (17:40, Al Arabi Stadium) and Al Khor vs Al Arabi (19:50, Al Khor Stadium) on Friday, 4th October, Al Sadd vs Al Rayyan (17:40, Al Sadd Stadium) and Qatar SC vs Al Ahli (19:50, Al Ahli Stadium) on Saturday, 5th October.

The Al Sadd vs Al Rayyan ‘Qatar Clasico’ is not only the biggest highlight of QNB Stars League’s Week 6 action, but also the entire tournament. It is also the biggest fixture on Qatar’s club football calendar.

Reigning champions Al Sadd are leading the QNB Stars League table with 12 points and one match in hand as their game against Al Arabi, dubbed the ‘Qatar Derby’ was deferred to a later date due to their AFC Champions League first-leg semifinal against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.

Al Sadd are the only side with an all-win record so far in the competition.

Al Rayyan are fifth in the standings with nine points.

Al Duhail and Al Sailiya will open the week’s engagements on Thursday, followed by the Al Wakrah vs Al Gharafa match.

Al Duhail are second with 11 points and Al Sailiya sixth with seven points. Both teams will be keen to keep winning.

Al Wakrah and Al Gharafa had both lost in the last round and they would be eyeing full points.

Bottom side Al Shahania will look to open their account on the points table when they clash with Umm Salal who posted their first victory last week, against Al Wakrah.

The game between Al Khor and in-form Al Arabi is also sure to evoke keen interest.

Qatar SC will take on Al Ahli in the last game on a confident note, having registered their first victory last week, against Al Khor. In contrast, Al Ahli will look to put an end to their two-match losing streak.
