Lautaro Martinez led the way by netting his first Serie A goal in three matches, but in the end it wasn’t enough as Inter once again failed to claim victory.

The Nerazzurri took the lead thanks to a deft header by the Argentine, who impressed despite not starting alongside his usual strike parter Romelu Lukaku.

Unfortunately the lead didn’t hold with Samir Handanovic’s positioning and reactivity under question after allowing Aleksey Miranchuk to net from distance.

Looked timid and confused. Rarely beat his man and was unable to create much of anything with Lautaro. Looked better after the half as he was more involved.

The lone Inter player that Conte can’t do without at this time. Runs for two players and helps his teammates out whenever they need it.

Looked calm and collected for most of the match as Atalanta rarely threatened. However he could have done more to close down Miranchuk on the equalizer.

Atalanta tried to squeeze him when he had possession, but he made the right decision more often than not. Inter’s goal started from his feet.

N/A – Came on for Young in the 83rd minute.

Started slowly but settled in after that. Helped in attack and defence and gave the young Ruggeri issues down the right.

Inter’s best defender on the night. Brought order to the backline.

Back after his battle with COVID, the Italian didn’t look out of sorts. However, just like Bastoni, questions have to be asked about his role in Miranchuk’s equalizer.

N/A – Came on for Darmian in the 83rd minute.

While stunning to say given the scope of the match, he was almost never called into action. However he was beaten the one time he was and was slow to react to Miranchuk’s strike.

Looked lively and energetic despite picking up a slight knock in warmups. Was Inter’s most dangerous player and capped it off with a great header off Young’s cross.

Came on for Lautaro in the 74th minute but had no real influence on proceedings.

Came on for Sanchez in the 74th minute, but like Lukaku, he had no impact on the match.

Back after a long absence due to COVID and was tested by the lively Zapata. Settled in after a slow start and kept Atalanta’s attack under wraps.

Always in the heart of proceedings, he kept Inter ticking along in the first half thanks to his heart. Was key in keeping Atalanta’s vaunted passing in check.

Looked better compared to the match with Real Madrid. Defended when called upon, and provided ample assistance in attack – as seen by his assist for Lautaro on the goal.
