Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira has stressed on the readiness of his side, ahead of their crucial QNB Stars League Round 19 game against Al-Sailiyah, which is to be played on Saturday.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “We have a final awaiting us. It will be crucial for us as we will be facing a strong team that is looking to continue in the top four. We are ready to face them and our secret of success will be concentration throughout the 90 minutes.”

“It will be a tough game. Our goal is to win and the players are aware of their responsibility, and are capable of overcoming the difficulties. We will play all the upcoming games looking to win and fight until the last minute, like what happened in the game against Persepolis.”

As for Xavi’s participation in the match, Ferreira said: “Xavi will be in the team for the Al-Sailiyah game after he achieved full fitness, physically and technically.”

The coach also pointed out that Al-Sailiyah haven’t played in the last two weeks while Al-Sadd played two important games.

He also said: “I prefer matches to training sessions. After the Champions League win, we are very spirited and want to win the league title. We are determined to win it. Surprises are a part of football but not on Saturday.”

Finally Ferreira spoke about Al-Sadd’s tight schedule, saying: “The team is playing in the league and in Asia, full of spirit. Al-Sadd need to win the league title and we have the players to do it. I will not start rotating now to win the league. Since the start of the season, we knew about the tight schedule but we were prepared for it.”
