Al Kharaitiyat face Al Sailiya in Week 3 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:15 at the Qatar SC Stadium on Saturday, 12th September, 2020.
Al Kharaitiyat, back in the QNB Stars League after a gap of one season, made up for their big-margin (1-5) loss to Al Sadd in their opener by defeating Qatar SC 2-1 last week.
Yousef Adam-coached Al Kharaitiyat, who got back to the top flight after emerging as Second Division champions, have players of calibre, such as Moroccan spearhead Rashid Tiberkanine.
Al Kharaitiyat are placed seventh with three points.
Al Sailiya, who held last season’s runners-up Al Rayyan to a creditable 1-1 draw in Week 1, crashed to a 1-5 loss to Al Sadd in the last round. The Peregrines, under Sami Trabelsi, have embarked on the new season with high ambitions.
Al Sailiya could only finish fifth last season, a below-par performance compared to their third-place finish in the 2018-19 season, which was their best-ever in history.
Trabelsi’s wards, 11th with one point, will be determined to make a turnaround when they take on Al Kharaitiyat.
